Leadership development built for the global complexity your team is working in.
Great leaders don't stop exploring.
Your international teams can do better. And you already know it.
Cross-border leadership is no longer a specialty skill - 89% of white-collar workers now collaborate across global virtual teams (Taras et al., 2021, HBR). And 90% of executives identify cross-cultural leadership as a top management challenge (Economist Intelligence Unit). Yet most organizations still have no development infrastructure designed for it.
The cost of that gap is measurable:
$9,284 per employee per year in miscommunication costs (Grammarly/Harris Poll, 2023)
$2M–$8M per major delayed strategic decision (Harvard Business School, 2020)
$10K–$20K per manager per year in burnout costs (American Journal of Preventive Medicine, 2025)
You cannot afford to ignore this any longer. Your competitors who make cultural understanding a company priority have a 25% higher success rate in international markets. Trust in leadership is dropping worldwide and costing you sales opportunities and regretted leavers.
This is not a talent problem. It's a leadership development gap and choosing to not address this has a significant price tag.
Built for complexity. Designed for impact. Measurable results.
Most programs hand leaders a framework and call it done. This is different.
Working with Maura, your leaders will:
Build the tools, clarity, and confidence to lead effectively across cultures, time zones, and competing priorities;
Learn how to foster trust, build cohesion, and maintain alignment across silos and between global and local strategies;
Keep adapting as the terrain changes. The landscape is shifting fast, and the leaders who will lead it well are the ones who know how to navigate, not just execute.
Maura's approach produces impactful results: all leadership competency scores up, 96% apply learning directly to their work, 9 of 10 would recommend it to other leaders.
Maura’s work is built on her proprietary Exploration Leadership℠ model, a methodology developed over 20 years of leading and working with global teams, and validated through original research with leaders across four continents.
Meet your Coach, Maura
I know what it feels like to lead across difference - across countries, cultures, and expectations that don't quite translate.
I've worked in seven countries, from HR in the Middle East to management consulting in London to organizational culture work in Washington D.C. I've been in rooms where the stakes were high, the people were brilliant, and the team still wasn't quite a team. I know what that costs in results, in trust, in the quiet toll it takes on the person holding it all together.
That experience is why I became a coach, and why my work has always been international in its reach and its lens. I bring an anthropologist's curiosity and an MBA's pragmatism to every engagement. My clients are leaders at IBM, Expedia, GlobalGiving, USAID, Bain, and organizations across four continents. What they have in common isn't their industry. It's that they're ready to go deeper than they've been asked to go before.
